What to do before your spray tan appointment:
-
Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your tan is applied.
-
The more time and consideration you give to exfoliation and moisturising, especially around key areas such as knees, ankles, elbows the better. You need to remove all the layers of dead skin to enable you to have a much smoother and absolutely flawless tan.
-
Do not, moisturise or exfoliate on the day of the treatment as this can effect the way that the spray tan takes to the skin.
-
Hair tied back is advisable, to enable your beautician full access to your face.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Ideally you should wear dark and loose clothing, and open toed shoes or flip flops.
How long will my spray tan last?
The spray tan, will last approximately 4 to 7 days, although this can be extended with careful pre and post tan care, regular top-ups will ensure an all year round holiday glow.
What if I am pregnant, should I have a spray tan?
We don’t recommend that pregnant women, in there first trimester (13 weeks) or those breast feeding have a spray tan. Due to hormonal changes some women also become sensitive to some products when pregnant so this advice is a general precaution.
How soon can I shower after a spray tan?
: 8 hours, it is best to book your spray tan appointment at tea- time and shower off the next morning (avoid washing up at all costs!). During the developing period, do not swim, exercise or get any kind of liquid on the tanned areas . When showering your tan off the excess tan will wash off leaving you with a flawless finish, be sure to shower until the water runs clear! Remember to pat yourself dry, do not rub.
